  • The Wei and Jin Tombs

    The Wei and Jin Tombs got a great reputation which is called the world largest underground gallery because of abundant mural paintings bricks in the tomb. From the brick paintings , you will get to know the history and the life of people in Wei and Jin dynastiesaround 1700 years ago.
  • Mogao grottos

    Mogao grottos were listed as the world cultural heritage by UNESCO in 1987. Dunhuang Mogao Grottos ,Datong Yungang Grottos in Shanxi province, Luoyang Longmen grottos in Henan province and Tianshui Maijishan grottos in Gansu province were collectively known as China’s four most famous grottos.
  • Echoing Sand Dune and Crescent Lake

    In 2015 the Echoing sand dune and crescent lake were approved as national 5A tourism attraction. Throughout the ages it is famous for the wonderful scenery of “coexistence of mountain and spring and symbiosis of sand and water”, which is known as ”one of the most unique scenery along the ancient silk road”. Local people would like to compare them as a deep lovely couple.
  • Dunhuang Yadan National Geological Park

    Dunhuang Yadan national geological park is away from Dunhuang about 165 kilometers, located at the junction of Gansu and Xinjiang and close to Lop Nor(nuclear testing site in Xinjiang) . According to preliminary estimates, the Yadan landform of dunhuang is 20 kilometers both in length and width, with a total area of about 400 square kilometers .The average time of formation was between 700,000 to 300,000 years ago.
  • Yangguan Pass

    The ancient Yangguan Pass is located 70 kilometers southwest of Dunhuang City along the Hexi Corridor.From Han Dynasty(205BC.—220AD.) to Tang Dynasty(618 AD.—906AD.), Yangguan has been a must pass along the South Silk Road, which was a strategic point that the ancient military strategist had to contend for.
  • Yumen Pass(Jade gate pass)

    Yumenguan Pass , commonly known as the north customs of ancient silk road, was first built around 105 BC. after Emperor Wudi of han Dynasty fought back the Huns and recovered the whole Hexi corridor.Yu means Jade,and Men means gate. Just because a lot of jades were introduced to China through the pass after the silk road was opened.
